Cremation Options

Precious Pets Crematory offers Private (Individual) and Communal (Group) cremations.

Our facility is thoughtfully designed for the comfort of our clients in their time of grieving. We offer, by appointment, a private viewing area for those who wish to witness their pets cremation. This way you can be assured that you will receive only your pets cremated remains back.  Our clients can browse through our bereavement and grief management brochures while waiting for the cremation process to be completed.

The staff at Precious Pets Crematory assures you that your special family member will be handled in a gentle and respectful manner. Precious Pets Crematory wants to help you in making certain that your beloved pet has a prompt and dignified cremation.

Private Cremation

Private cremation means that your pet is placed individually into the cremation chamber.  The cremated remains of your loving pet are then returned to you in a urn of your choosing.

Private cremation services can include the gentle pick up of your pet at your veterinary hospital or your home (charges apply), the Private (individual) cremation process, placing the cremated remains in an urn of your choosing and your pet can be then picked up at our facility.  A certificate of cremation is issued with every Private Cremation along with 8 complimentary remembrance cards personalized with your pets name and date of passing along with your pet being memorialized on our website with a memorial tribute photo for two years.

Cremains are usually returned within 24-48 hours of pet pick up or drop off. We are also available after-hours or for emergency service if needed for an additional fee. Pet drop off to our facility is welcome by appointment.

Communal Cremation

Communal cremation means that your pet is cremated in a group setting with other pets. The services can include the gentle pick up of your pet at your veterinary hospital or home (charges apply) and the cremation process. This option maintains a high level of dignity at a modest cost. Pet cremated remains are not returned if you choose this service.

The Cremation Process

Cremation is a very clean and rapid method of reducing ones remains.

During the cremation process, your pet is gently laid on the hearth of the crematory, and the door is shut. The door remains shut until the cremation is complete. Cremation of an average-sized pet takes about 1-2 hours. When the process is complete, the cremains are gathered and handled with care as they are processed.

Cremains are then placed into an urn of the owner’s choice and packaged for return to the family if Private cremation is chosen.

  • Do you want your Medical Doctor to also be your Mortician? Then why would you let your Veterinarian be your pets Mortician?

How would you feel if you were in the hospital and your doctor who is charged with your care and well being was also your Mortician? Your doctor who profits and is paid by you will also profit in the event of your death. This my friends is why we the consuming public have rules and laws regarding "CONFLICTS OF INTEREST". Because the pet care industry is largely unregulated, veterinarians have seen the potential to profit from you whether your pet lives or dies. We should be holding them to a higher standard. Your veterinarian will not even supervise what is going on with your pet at the mass disposal incineration companies they contract with. Don't fall into that trap.

So I ask you, do you want your Veterinarian to be your pets Mortician???

Call us at (630) 759-2222 for the dignified death-care of your pet and eliminate your worries of leaving your pet where your veterinarian won't even supervise your pets disposition.
